Extending the Life of your Articles

Posted by admin | Uncategorized | Sunday 31 May 2009 4:05 am

Calling all editors, publishers, writers and freelance journalists. It is the time to breathe more life into your copy. Turn your articles into living pieces that spark measurable debate and that allows you to engage with your readers mind and soul - we’re talking revolution.

As it was in the beginning

Publishers have for many years relied on letters to get feedback from their readers and although email has opened up this method of communication it is still time consuming and difficult to process with only a fraction of the received correspondence ever being used.

As well as being an overhead for the publisher, to most people it is an unrewarding medium in terms of the amount of effort required and response received, just consider the number of letters that go unpublished and unread.

As it is now

The Internet has brought new channels of communication and has opened up opportunities that allow us to challenge traditional methods. The Internet is now a mature technology, no longer the preserve of technical geeks but a technology that has been embraced by a global population, young and old allowing us now to re-evaluate the way things are done. Newspapers, trade journals, magazines and ezines now have the opportunity to change the mental process.

When people read an article they often would like to comment, and historically this has required them to feel strongly enough to put pen to paper; or with the creation of the Internet send an email or write a comment. Sure emails are easier but it still takes time to craft an email and time for the majority, is what they haven’t got.

The letters page, or a list of comments, although interesting, are often only a snapshot of views, or an endless unmanaged list of comments; a well crafted and well written letter on any given subject may hold the view of the majority, or the minority, but due to its free text form it is difficult, or near impossible, to measure.

As it should be

Now consider the advantages of linking articles to online surveys where as a publisher you will have the ability to obtain valuable readership feedback in a form that can be properly measured. Communicating with your readers is one thing but having a channel that allows your readers to effectively communicate with you is just as important.

Do you want to deliver a snapshot of opinion? Did they like what they read? Did the sentiments expressed in the article have the support of the audience or do the readers have a different view?

Now it’s easy

Historically surveys would have taken considerable effort to design and publish and altogether was a process too long winded and often reserved only for the niche and bigger topics.

However, using sites like www.surveygalaxy.com surveys and questionnaires can be created and published via the Internet by anyone who has a pulse. Professional looking questionnaires and surveys created in minutes make the perfect complement to articles that prompt opinion and debate.

The advantage over letters, e-mails and comments are that all the feedback is managed and measured and sites like Survey Galaxy will provide you with a real time poll that you can either keep to yourself or share with your readers.

It can be complementary

By linking each article to an online survey it will not only extend the life of the article, as people have a channel to express their views, but it will involve your readers in the discussion and in a way where they know their opinion will be counted.

If you think they would rather send an email? - not a problem - just include the facility within the survey and get the best of both worlds.

It’s quick, low cost, and easy to do; it will empower and engage the reader, provide first class feedback and having established a communication channel you then have the opportunity to promote other related articles.

Promote Your Blog With MyArticleNetwork

Posted by admin | Uncategorized | Saturday 30 May 2009 5:04 pm

I have been using a new article spinning and posting service, and so far I am impressed with the results and the features.

I have so far submitted 17 articles in 13 days, and they have been placed on a total of 420 sites total between them already. If I can keep posting 1 or 2 articles a day, I will have thousands out there in a month.

The system has the built in article spinning system in place. You can just paste in your title article and keywords, and maybe a youtube video, and once you save it as draft, you can start using the article spinner.

The auto spinner gives you a sentence from your post, and it gives you 10 more places to input alternate sentences. Using this and just giving each sentence a new sentence, each timeyour article is spun, it is over 100% unique or spun. Some of my articles are over 150% spun.

The real power is when you edit the spinning manually, alternating between words inside your sentences. You have a second level of spinning that lets you substitute words for one another inside each of your spun sentences, giving you even more uniqueness for each article posted.

The content you submit is treated like a blog post as opposed to an article. There’s no authors box, and your able to place up to 3 links in each article, and if you change keywords in your spun text, you can do some deep linking with this system.

The other part of the system is getting content for your blog, you can add as many of your own blogs to receive content, you have control over whether they get published or not, just leave the links intact. But the neat thing is when you approve an article, you get a chance to leave feedback to the author anonymously. This is a great feature, I was able to let 1 author know that his spun titles weren’t coming out so great (bad spinning, his fault), and I asked another author for a specific keyworded article for one of my blogs.

Whether or not they get my messages remains to be seen, but this system is really looking good for article marketing, you can use it for backlinks, or just put in your affiliate links, its up to you. I have tried to use a mix of both, since I have 3 links per post.

I would recommend this to anybody that wants to get more exposure for their blog or affiliate links thru article marketing.

Join MyArticleNetwork Here , you can even submit articles for month and if you don’t like it, you can cancel for a full refund, and the posts or articles that are already out there will still be there.

How Do Your Current Methods of Email Marketing Stack Up?

Posted by admin | Uncategorized | Thursday 28 May 2009 3:37 pm

Email marketing is a magnificent way of getting yourself a lot of new business. Yet, you have to approach it as an art form, because today people have been deluged with marketing emails and, needless to say, the evils of spam. If you are going to use email marketing for your business, you have to be careful with how you use it.

Email marketing must always be used as a voluntary means of getting people to contact you. Send your newsletters and special email information bullets out each week until someone decides to communicate that they need your services or product. That brings us to the challenge of how you get your email mailing list to start with. You get this with opt-in.

Opt-in works by having people come to your website and having the choice to sign up to get your free e-newsletter. They will give you their name and an email address. You will then make use of an autoresponder to make sure that every time you write and blast-out another issue of the newsletter, or have a special offer to tell about, this person receives a copy. They will not reject your newsletter or think it is spam, because they have opted-in to receive your information.

Email marketing is a brilliant way of keeping your name and business in front of someone. It is said that a person has to be asked to buy, either directly or indirectly, six times by someone before they will take serious action. There will be some exceptions to this with people who love you right away and buy then and there. That will not be your experience with most —so keep your name active with them, to remind them of you frequently. People have little spare time these days.

Now, the thing that is great about email marketing is that you are only sending out your emails to qualified leads. People went to your site on their own, and then they all asked you to send them your information for some reason. This means that they have interest on some level in you. Some leads will be hot leads, but none of them is cold or unqualified.

Remember make your e-newsletter full of great content without just giving away all that you do for nothing. Make people look forward to your next issue. Motivate them to start forwarding your newsletters to their friends or associates. Set them up for special offers that come with every other communication. Give them the notion that you are a great person to buy from because you a very smart, entertaining and are willling to give them great information. Outdo your competitors in this arena.

Use email marketing methods like this and your business will prosper.

Your Online Marketing Company: 4 Hints for the Beginning Network Marketer

Posted by admin | Uncategorized | Tuesday 26 May 2009 12:10 am

Online marketing has developed a sudden surge in the last few years, but many online marketers are experienced and know about how to market their product correctly.  It is important for the beginning and intermediate internet marketers to learn these veterans in order to be successful in their business. I personally show entrepreneurs here at my website how to become successful network marketers.

As more and more internet based businesses are developed, the need to develop new marketing skills based on this new medium have arisen. More and more network marketing strategies have been developed to deal with the online business world.

With the rise and growing interest in network marketing, the demand for online business marketing coaching have grown drastically and a new business has been developed: network marketing strategies. Although there are companies that are all too eager to help your site and business build a clientele for a fee, there also many ways that can spread the word about your sites existence in a more cost free way.

A very effective way is to use Autoresponder email marketing, also known as permission marketing. Opt-in marketing needs the permission of a subscriber to request your marketing materials, that may take the form of newsletters, ebooks and promotional mailings via an email list. The more marketing email is sent, the more opportunity there is to make sales. To do this, you must build a list of all those who want your company’s marketing list. If you would like information about online marketing, go to my website for information about how I can help you.

From your list, you will get your targeted customers, this is a good list since they already have shown interest in what you have to sell since they have willingly signed in for your list. These are the people who liked what they saw on your site and decided they want to see more and quite possibly even purchase whatever product or service your company has to offer.

Sometimes people would believe that list building would take hard work and a long time to build and collect names and addresses. This isn’t true, Although it takes a bit of of patience and a little strategy, but in working this list, you give your site and your business a whole new world of target marketing. If you take the effort to take your online business to a new level, if an increase in traffic and good profits are what you want, an opt-in list will do wonders for your online marketing business.

There are many articles and information about network marketing available for anyone to read and follow in building a list. Sometimes you may get confused because there are so many and different ways. Different business owners have different approaches in building their opt-in lists, but no matter how diverse the methods are, there are always some crucial things to do to build your list. Here are just four that I’ve developed at my website.

1) Add a simple autoresponder form in the top right corner of your site. While there are some people who may say this is too soon to subscribe, if your homepage provides a good impression, then people will want to join. If somehow a website visitor might find something they doesn’t like and turns them off, they may not sign up.

A good web form for subscribing to your opt-in list is easy. Write a short sentense offering information about your site. Give them a special report, training or ebook. The form should contain a simple name and email area. This form will save and send you the data. As more people sign in, your list will be growing.

2) As mentioned previously, make a quality home page. You need to have well written articles and descriptions on your website. Depending on what your site is all about, you need to capture your website visitor’s interest. Your site should be useful very easy to use. Do not expect people to be technical. Invest in having good programming for your site, make your graphics attractive but don’t overdo it.

Do not use up your time making the homepage too overly large. Not all people have fast internet connections, therefore the faster your site loads, the better. Go for a look that borders between simplicity and sophisticated.

3) Give excellent service. A return customer is more likely to bring in additional business. Even now and then, a satisfied customer will recommend your business. Word of mouth and recommendations alone can create more business than an expensive ad. As your clientele grows so shall your business. With more members on the list, the more people will get to know about what you have to offer.

4) Keep your list just for yourself. Never ruin the trust your customers have given you. If you provide e-mails to others and they get spammed, most will probably unsubscribe. Remember, your good reputation will drive more traffic and subscribers as well as strengthen the loyalty of your customers.

4 Tips that Can Help You Earn Money from Your Blog

Posted by admin | Uncategorized | Thursday 21 May 2009 7:36 pm

When most people think of what it means to make money blogging, two words seem to come up almost automatically: “instant cash”. And yet blogging for money isn’t your ticket to quick wealth as it’s often made out to be. A majority of today’s most lucrative blogs weren’t managed by people who used quick-fix solutions. Instead, these bloggers relied on long-term solutions that would ensure their blog’s place in the online world.

One of the first things that you have to do as a professional blogger is to get ready for all the work that lies ahead of you. Keep in mind that your blog won’t be the only one of its kind that’s already up and running, which means that competition for reader’s attention is much stiffer now. Furthermore, professional blogging won’t reward you generously for your efforts in your first six months, or even for the first year! You’ll have to devote a lot of time to your site during its first stages, which can be a little difficult if you’re already holding a day job.

Despite these challenges, professional blogging can prove to be very fulfilling once your site has gained a foothold in its own niche and readership base. Not only do you get to write about things that you’re passionate about; you also get to earn thousands of dollars each month just for posting your blog entries! Before proceeding, however, don’t overlook these golden rules for starting your own money-making blog. Follow these principles, and you’ll find that blogging for money can be as enjoyable as it is profitable:

1.  Decide on a niche to specialize in, and plan out your blog accordingly:

Will you be writing about sports? Or will you be running a steady stream of political commentary on your site? Are you considering putting up restaurant reviews? Whatever it is that you choose to specialize in, make sure that the rest of your blog follows suit. Choose a blog template, for example, that matches your overall theme, and keep your blog posts within the bounds of your chosen niche.

You can afford to create an off-topic blog post every so often, but if you want to gain your readers’ trust and establish yourself as an expert, it’s better to be consistent with your blog entries. If you’re dealing with technology, for example, it wouldn’t exactly serve you well to start talking about relationships or how your visit to the dentist was unsatisfactory.

What’s more important, however, is for you to pick a subject that you’re passionate about. Think of a niche that’s interesting enough for you to write about. It’s hard to fake enthusiasm for a topic that you don’t actually care much about, and it’s a tactic that usually backfires. For instance, don’t create a blog on wedding planning just because it’s a popular niche. Instead, choose a niche that you feel strongly about, whether it’s food, politics, religion, photography, or even something as esoteric as zoology.

Remember, a good blog is one that’s written with obvious zeal and passion, and dealing with a topic you love ensures that you won’t get sick of writing about it year after year.

2.  Update frequently:

Updating your blog regularly can make a big difference in the volume of traffic that your blog receives. You have to give your readers a good reason to visit your blog frequently, and one of the best ways to entice them into your site is by offering new content as often as possible. People don’t want to return to a blog only to find a post that they’d already read before! Make your readers’ visits worth their time by providing them with new content as often as possible.

Frequent updating also ensures that Google and other search engines index your site frequently, making your blog more visible and accessible to others. If you don’t want your blog to fall into obscurity, you have to work at giving your readers a lot of fresh entries.

3.  Take advantage of ad networks and affiliate programs:

Once you’ve got your blog up and running, you can look into more direct ways of earning money from your site. A good way to jumpstart this is by signing up for Google Adsense, which rewards you for each click that an advertising link receives from your site.

You can also sign up for an affiliate program such as Amazon.com Associates, Clickbank, or Azoogle. When you become an affiliate partner, you have to put up appropriate links to your blog that direct your readers to a product offer. The affiliate program will then pay you for each visitor from your site who makes a purchase or signs up for a service.

If you’re intent on blogging for money, you will eventually have to put up some advertising on your blog to earn revenue. Your revenue, however, will be dependent on the number of readers who flock to your site; the more readers you have, the bigger the chances of having those links clicked on.

4.  Write quality posts:

No matter how frequently you update your site, and no matter how many ad networks you’re part of, you can’t earn any long-term revenue unless you offer your readers a lot of quality, credible content. Nobody wants to read something that’s poorly or shabbily written, so do your best to write as well and as accurately as you can.

When your readers realize that they can rely on you to give them solid advice and credible information regarding your niche, they’re bound to return to your blog, as well as create backlinks to your site that will boost your search engine ranking. When you’ve established yourself as an expert, that’s when your readership starts to increase and swell up enough for you to earn money from your blog.

Although there are different ways through which people make money blogging, the best tactic is still to provide quality content to your readers. Remember, people aren’t visiting your site just to ogle at your blog template! You should note, however, that everything about your blog should tie up neatly in the end, and you’re going to have to work a bit more to achieve this. Once you’ve gotten the hang of it, you’re sure to be blogging your way towards a real and sustainable profit!
